I went to Chelsea tonight to see the opening of Marcel Dzama's new show "Behind Every Curtain" at the David Zwirner gallery. It was really great, I loved his drawings, especially the sketches for the video piece that he did. I definitely recommend going to check it out.
I popped into some of the other galleries in the area to see what was going on, and there a few other things I liked and some that I didn't. One that surprised me was Kate Peter's show "Stranger Than Fiction" at the HPGP Gallery. She had some really fantastic photographs, which is saying something because it takes a lot for photography to catch my interest most of the time. It's a show worth looking at, for sure.
